Academics

Our Toddler/Pre Nursery (Mont1),  Nursery (Mont 2) and KG (Mont3) curricula lead to literacy creativity and critical thinking. The toddlers’ years are a time of great cognitive, emotional and social development. It involves the progressive building of learning skills, such as attention, memory and thinking. These crucial skills enable children to process sensory information and eventually learn to evaluate, analyze, remember, make comparisons and understand cause and effect. Brain development is a part of cognitive development .Children acquire cognitive skills quickly in the initial few years of life.

Curriculum

A preschool curriculum is essential because it provides flexibility in the process that can be beneficial for a child’s learning. It helps in planning the education process and procedure for a given period of time. Hence, to achieve its educational goals, a curriculum is needed that is functional and relevant to its need.
A preschool curriculum is an accessible research synthesis of how much young
children learn in the academic domains of oral language, literacy,  arthimetic, language skills, and classroom activities. Effective early childhood education is a combination of playbased, explorative learning and a structured approach, in an environment that is fully supportive of the needs of the individual child.

The curriculum of ROOTS-THE MONTESSORI HOUSE is broadly divided into four areas:
• Exercise of Practical learning
• Sensorial Activities
• Language
